Bill received his undergraduate and terminal degrees from the University of Michigan, and has spent over fifteen years in the field of faculty development in higher education dedicated to the seamless integration of pedagogical best practices and technology in both face-to-face and distance learning environments. In November of 2002, he assumed the new role of Associate Director of the Center for 21st Century Teaching Excellence (CstTE), including leadership of the Center’s Media Innovation Team (MIT).
Bill has served as an artist-in-residence and guest lecturer at Harvard University, the Interlochen Center for the Arts, and the University of Michigan, and has been a faculty member at Calvin College, the University of Central Florida, and the University of South Florida. In addition to his participation in Microsoft’s National Speakers Bureau, Bill has authored textual and multimedia publications for Microsoft Press, Philips Media, Laser Learning Technologies, and Lumivision, and he is also an award-winning video producer whose work has been featured nationally on PBS.
